I had the most wonderful stay at an idyllic place with amazing food and warm hosts. The villa was beautifully renovated and the rooms were spacious and spotless. The owners and their children were delightful and made us feel right at home. The chef, Angela, cooked the most fantastic meals and should definitely offer cooking classes. The setting was tranquil and the courtyard was perfect for dining. The villa is also well-equipped for children, with play areas and access to horses. this was a highlight of our trip to Sicily and I can't wait to return.
Our room had no view and the window screen was torn. However, the air-conditioning made up for it.

Very friendly welcome and lovely meals.
Not Villa Trigona's fault but we were disappointed the Roman Villa was shut for restoration. Villa Trigona was slightly isolated if we had wanted a walk in the evening. I am sure this would not be a problem in Spring or Summer.

Fantastische, rustige ligging net buiten de stad. Diner van uitstekende prijs/performance. Erg goed ontbijt.

The location of the hotel was convenient, being close to town and a popular tourist attraction. the room had a charming old-world feel with antique furniture and large windows overlooking the courtyard. the bathroom, although historical, was functional. the breakfast spread was impressive, with homemade pastries and jams. the hotel also had a large swimming pool set in beautiful grounds.
The air conditioning was centrally controlled and not very effective, especially during the hot summer months.

The back terrace is lovely for breakfast....the view is the orange grove. You have the option of having dinner with all the guests in the kitchen. Trigona is family run and the mother loves to cook typical Italian home cooking. The wine provided was excellent.
We were locked in the bedroom when the key failed ! The immediately called a locksmith and all was well :) Now it is just a funny memory.

The setting of the hotel was beautiful, surrounded by lush countryside. the rooms were well equipped and felt like a home away from home. the staff was helpful and friendly, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. the breakfast was a highlight, with delicious homemade jams, honey, and bread from the farm.
Finding the hotel was a bit challenging, as they didn't have a proper address. the check-in process was a bit disorganized, with a delay in getting our room and a mix-up with the bed configuration.

Very friendly, home-like atmosphere; seems to be a perfect place to stay for longer if you look for relaxing solution off the beaten track. You may spend time in your comfortable room but also in a very friendly common space and the beautiful garden.
The place is very difficult to find particularly in the evening. The other minus is ...excellent homemade food but with limited choice for those on special diets (like no gluten, no meat, no diary). That could be most probably overcame if anybody there speaks good English...

Family operated. The dinner at the hotel was exceptional. One dish after another arrived. I could have fed a family of four. The rooms are clean and functional. For English speakers there is CNN and BBC.
Internet access could be a bit easier.

Delicious and abundant food at dinner, with multiple courses and good quality wine. Friendly staff who create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Limited availability of Wi-Fi, only accessible in certain areas of the hotel. Inconsistent wine offerings, with only one type of wine initially provided at dinner.

We were warmly welcomed by family owning the B&B. Friendly service and excellent, gastronomical dinner cooked by the lady of the house. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere.
We had noisy neighbours in the room next to us and especially all the noices from the bathroom could be heard.

we stayed at Villa Trigona for 3 nights. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and genuine hospitality that was clearly abundant from the minute we arrived. The location suited as well as we made day trips out in different directions, without having to spend endless hours in the car. Good dinners in the eve taken outside in the courtyard, with lots of free flowing wine. Will visit again next time we travel to Sicily
